What is foster care?
Foster care is a way for children whose biological parents can't take care of them to grow up in families instead of traditional orphanages.What types of foster care are there?
There are two types: Temporary foster care and permanent care. Children of all ages can be placed in temporary care for up to a year, until they are either adopted, placed in permanent foster families, or adopted.How many children are currently in foster homes?
There are thought to be over 24,000 children currently in foster care in the Czech RepublicWho do we help?
We target organizations and projects that provide critical services and support to foster care families. The non-profit Rozum a Cit is our primary target. We will also targeting assisted-living institutions for young adults.How can I help?

Robert and Eva McLean established the fund after 12 years of experience as temporary foster parents. In that time, they've cared for 12 infants for 3–18 months before handing them on to adoptive or to permanent foster families.Behind the Fund
