Skanska is beginning construction of Port7, the latest development to begin along the Vltava river that snakes through the heart of Prague. The majority of Prague residents will never work in the new office buildings that are to be constructed there, but the development will create an attractive new promenade that makes the river more easily enjoyed and experienced. And the scheme also includes a range of shops, dining and services that will be accessible to the public. Based on an architectural design by the DAM.architekti studio, the project will offer 35,000 sqm of new office space in three new buildings due for completion in 2023. The first phase of construction that’s getting underway involves the construction of a building with 28,000 sqm of GLA. Port7 is aiming for the highest international environment certification, LEED Platinum for Shell & Core in its latest version 4 (4.1).
