The student housing specialist Zeitraum is expanding its portfolio with a new project near Wenceslas Square that marks its entry on the serviced apartment sector. Under the brand name Zeitraum Apartments, the company will be opening ‘Franz by Zeitraum’ at Opletalová 41. Zeitraum’s MD Zdena Noack said her team had registered demand for fully-furnished apartments for short and mid-term stays. “Clients will be able to come for just a couple of days or spend a month or year here,” she said. “The advantage of this concept compared to classic hotels is that the apartments are fully furnished, including a kitchen.” The biggest different, however is in the price, which is markedly less expensive than a hotel. Compared to standard longer-term contracts, on the other hand, no deposit is necessary, nor is there any requirement to sign a lease contract for a fixed period of time. Each of the 53 units will be suitable for between two and four people. The building is named after its most famous tenant, the poet Franz Werfel, who lived there at the beginning of the 20th century. It was fully modernized and furnished before being placed on the market. Zeitraum is a subsidiary of Zeitgeist Asset Management.
