The leasing of Port7 is off and running as Skanska’s latest business center development in Prague – Holešovice has picked up its first tenant. The Eye Centre Prague clinic will fill a 1,600 sqm unit on the ground floor of the ‘Edinburgh’ building. The deal with this sort of healthcare provider illustrates the high priority Skanska has put on developing a multifunctional center and not simply a collection of office buildings. “”When planning our projects, we make sure that we also contribute to a given location by providing for services that are lacking there,” says Iva Janoušková (Skanska). In all, three office buildings designed by the DAM architekti studio will be built, providing over 35,000 sqm of office and retail space. Port7 aims to transform the former industrial zone at the southern portion of the Troja bridge into a new center for Holešovice. An extensive riverbank park is to be redeveloped as part of the scheme.

Prague Eye Centre’s CEO Adam Janek said his company would be providing a wide range of services and that the space would include 20 examination and outpatient rooms and several hi-tech operating rooms. He said the project’s sophisticated design would provide the sort of atmosphere his domestic and foreign clientele require.
