CTP secures €700m in green bond as rates inch upwards

CTP closed a €700 million four-year green bond under its €8 billion medium-term note (EMTN) program. Demand peaked at €1.3 billion for the issue, suggesting CTP’s reputation among green bond investors is solid. It entered the capital markets for funding 15 months ago. Still, the company is not immune from larger market forces, as this tranche fixed at 0.875%, up from the 0.625% it achieved on a 5-year green bond as recently as September 2021.
