CBRE’s Prague office has named Jiří Stránský as its Head of Sustainability, where he will take part in creating and coordinating ESG strategies for the company’s clients. CBRE is the latest international consultancy to make such an appoint in response to rapidly growing concerns over real estate’s role in accelerating climate change. “Our goal is to have a positive impact on the Czech real estate market and to lead by example,” says Clare Sheils, MD of CBRE Czech Republic. She said Stránský’s role would be to help clients orient themselves in the complex issues of sustainability while helping them meet their business goals. Stránský studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague’s construction faculty and is involved in the Czech Green Building Council. He’s an accredited BREEAM, LEED and WELL assessor. He worked previously at RUBY Project Management.
