P3 issued its first green bond in January 2022 and according to CEO Frank Pörschke, the expectation is that there’s no going back now. All of its bond financing will be green in color, because it’s not just the right thing to do -- it’s also where the smart money is. But to improve the performance of its portfolio, Pörschke says that direct engagement with tenants about their electricity use is crucial to understand and improve how well their buildings are performing.
