CTP is constructing a 38,000-sqm building at CTPark Brno South whose key tenant, ABB, will occupy over 17,000 sqm. The new space will enable ABB to expand its low-voltage switchgear production as well as its development operations, creating up to 60 jobs initially. At the moment, the company employs 320 people in the division, but this could grow to 600 within a few years.
The project’s emphasis on high-quality office space and attractive workplaces reflects the way employers are looking for ways to attract new employees while holding on existing ones longer. ABB’s new facility combines production floors with designer offices featuring glass facades, natural light, and recreational areas—elements typically reserved for city-center developments.
“We were looking for premises that would allow us to develop production alongside the development of switchgear, and at the same time provide high-quality conditions for our employees,” explains David Staněk, Manufacturing Unit Manager at ABB.
The building targets BREEAM Outstanding certification with photovoltaic panels and heat pump systems supporting ABB’s carbon neutrality goals. Production is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
Pavel Blažek, Senior Business Developer at CTP, notes the facility “raises not only the standard of construction, but also the perception of industrial locations in Czechia.”
“ABB has long been one of the most important employers in the South Moravian Region, and we are delighted that the company has chosen us for its further development plans. We greatly appreciate the trust they have placed in us.”
The development signals that South Moravian industrial parks are evolving beyond purely functional spaces into environments designed for long-term talent retention.
