Big news from the real estate legal world as DLA Piper announces its appointment of Michal Hink as Real Estate partner. Hink comes to the position with 20 years of experience, including a stint as managing partner at Dentons and more recently as General Counsel/Head of Legal at Heimstaden. While at Heimstaden he was responsible for the legal side of transactions worth in excess of €12 billion. Managing director Miroslav Dubovský said Hink’s appointment will “allow us to focus and further deepen our cooperation with real estate clients, not only in the dynamically growing investments into the private rented sector market in both the Czech Republic and CEE region.”
But DLA Piper has announced two additional appointments of considerable consequence. Tomáš Ščerba, previously a partner at White & Case has been named Corporate partner with a focus on Technology. In addition, Leo Javorek is joining the company from Kinstellar where he spent ten years. He will take joining DLA Piper’s Banking, Finance and Restructuring practice.
