Mortgage volumes break records as dreams of home ownership fade

The Fincentrum Hypoindex shows that banks handed out more than CZK 29.5 billion in mortgage loans whose average size was nearly CZK 3 million. "Hoping for a cooling in prices in the coming months is pointless. The dream of owning your own home is getting further away for many people," writes Aktualne.cz.
