CTP handed over 11,500 sqm of new distribution space at CTPark Česká Lípa to Saint-Gobain Sekurit Service, the aftermarket division of the French glass manufacturer. The facility will serve as a consolidation hub for replacement automotive glass headed to markets across Europe.
The operational logic is straightforward. You have windshields and high-value glazing roll off Saint-Gobain’s manufacturing lines at plants concentrated in eastern Europe — including its large facility in Hořovice, Czech Republic. Those shipments converge at Česká Lípa, get consolidated into full truckloads, and fan out to local warehouses in individual European countries for last-mile distribution. The step between factory and final warehouse is what the new center is designed to compress.
“We needed capacity to consolidate shipments from manufacturing plants located mainly in eastern Europe and flexdistribute them to our local warehouses acroPetr Lhoták, General Manager of SekuritService. “CTPark Česká Lípa offered an ideal combination of accessibility, quality premises and strategic location between our manufacturing plants and distribution warehouses.”
The town’s pull for automotive logistics is geographic. Česká Lípa sits at the crossroads of routes linking Dresden and Wrocław, with Liberec and Mladá Boleslav — Škoda Auto’s headquarters — under 40 minutes away. The park already houses other automotive-linked tenants acrosg 38,000 sqm, with room to grow.
“The strategic position between Germany and Poland, proximity to key manufacturing plants and quality transport connections make this park an ideal location targeting European markets,” says Michal Příb, Senior Business Developer at CTP.
CTP’s Czech portfolio now stands at 4.7 million sqm of gross leasable area across more than 60 parks, part of a group-wide footprint of 14.7 million sqm in 11 countries.
