The headline on Nova television's news Monday said it all. "The crowds in the shops are the government's fault, claims the government. Czechs are shopping like crazy"
Those readers who watched the rest of the report expecting a horror show, however, found out only that sales in "some shops" were double what they were last year. Also, lines formed in front of stores before opening times. Not very convincing, really.
