Having made the decision to transition to rental apartments, AFI Europe is beginning construction on its third such project as part of the AFI City brownfield scheme in Prague – Vysočany. The CZK 900m project will offer 320 rental units ranging in size from 1+kitchenette to 3+kk. Most of the apartments will offer balconies or terraces, while units on the ground floor will have a small garden. “We will offer some of the units as partially furnished and depending on the response from clients, we’ll decide how to proceed from there,” says Elena Pisotchi, sales manager at AFI Europe. The developer recently completed a 7,500 sqm park with a playground and a promenade, while a nursery school will be built in the future nearby. AFI City is being built on the former ČKD industrial complex in the Vysočany district which spreads across 15 ha of land. The project will include 110,000 sqm of offices and retail along with 40,000 sqm of residential space. Completion of the new apartment building should be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
