I ran into Michael Smithing in Prague just over a week ago. As we sat down for a chat, I expected to be speaking to him about New Work’s plans for expanding service in the city. Instead, he told me about his decision to leave New Work. Never one to shy away from speaking hard truths, Smithing claims companies are denying the reality that their employees simply won’t be coming back to work…at least not every day. If that’s true, asks Smithing, why should companies rent offices 5 days per week?
