Česká spořitelna & Finep launch affordable housing program

Česká spořitelna and Finep are working together to build affordable rental housing for health workers at the Prague hospital in Motol. The project is spearheaded by a newly formed company called Dostupné bydlení Česká spořitelna (Affordable Housing Česká spořitelna) whose goal it is to build around 1000 flats by the year 2026. Its chairman Marek Blaha said each project will target people in professions that make possible the functioning of all cities. Despite their value to society, “essential workers” typically don’t earn enough to be able to live in the cities that need them . . .
