An 11-member jury spent three days at the end of April debating bids for Prague’s new Vltava Philharmonic Hall. Last night, they announced the competition's winner: the Danish studio Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). It’s a decision that's taken years of planning because the new philharmonic needs to fill in some of Prague's gaping holes. For starters, it fills a cultural hole.
