BONARD has secured minority funding from Polish private equity firm Spire Capital Partners to enable its geographic and sectoral expansion. The company provides key market data to developers and investors active in the growing BTR and student accommodations sectors.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but founder and CEO Samuel Vetrak and the existing management team retain operational control.
BONARD has been expanding its activities at a time when European student numbers significantly exceed available purpose-built accommodation. This has led to heightened investor demand for real estate that serves this sector and for specialized operators to run them.
“Qualified professional data is increasingly more important in the investment world, more so for growing investment interest in living sectors,” says Vetrak. “We were aiming for a minority financial partner with strategic capital to scale up and enhance.”
The capital injection positions BONARD to expand geographic coverage and asset class tracking while upgrading its platform and reporting capabilities. For Spire Capital Partners, the transaction represents its first international investment and aligns with the firm’s focus on scalable businesses serving growth sectors.
“The living sector, and PBSA in particular, are poised for accelerated growth and Bonard has a great product and expertise to serve the growing universe of investors, developers, operators and lenders,” claims Arkadiusz Podziewski, partner at SCP.
BONARD engaged KPMG and Highgate as advisors, while Spire Capital Partners worked with Hillbridges and Mazars.
