Gotion InoBat Batteries has signed a memorandum with the Slovak government on the construction of a car battery factory in Šurany. The facility will have an initial capacity of 20 gigawatt hours, but this could be doubled in the future. The two sides haven’t released details about the volume of the investment, but it’s expected to create 1,500 new jobs on the 65 ha site.
